By-Laws
Membership
- Any individual interested in the activities and objectives of HUG may become a member upon
attendance of any meeting.
- Each member shall be entitled to one vote during elections and when attending General Meetings.
- Membership dues and meeting attendance fees (where applicable) shall be established by the
Executive Board.
- Membership in HUG may be revoked or suspended for just cause by unanimous vote of the
Executive Board.
Dues
- There will be no dues for membership unless deemed necessary by the Executive Board at a later date.
Executive Board Duties
- Only Hyperion clients can serve on the executive board
- All HUG activity shall be governed by its Executive Board.
- Between General Meetings, the business and activities of the
User Group shall be governed by this
Executive Board.
- The terms of office shall be two years with no limit on the number of times the membership can elect them.
- Term of office shall commence on January 1 of each year.
- The Executive Board will be made up of the following positions:
Chairman:
General supervision over and coordination of affairs of the user group.
Presides over all meetings of the user group as well as the Executive Board.
Communicates group objectives / priorities to Hyperion representatives.
Program Committee:
Plans, prepares and presents agenda for meetings.
Coordinates program speakers and makes meeting arrangements.
Assumes duties of Chairman in his/her absence.
Membership Director:
Promotes membership for the user group.
Maintains records of names and addresses of members as well as the sign-in sheet of attendees of
each meeting.
Assumes duties of Chairman if the Chairman and Program Director are absent.
Secretary:
Maintains minutes of each user group and Executive Board meeting
Maintains documents of the user group as well as membership records
Responsible for notices and other mailings to members.
Meetings
At least three General Meetings will be held per year. One General Meeting
may be held as part of the national Hyperion User Conference.
Meetings will be held for three hours - from 9 AM - 12 PM
Only positive interaction allowed - no gripe sessions.
The Executive Board shall meet at least three times per year to conduct
the business of the HUG.
Amendments
Changes to the by-laws requite both:
- a minimum of 2/3 vote of the members present at the meeting
- a minimum of 50% of the membership of the group present for voting
